Medical Camp at Grace... On April 12th, Grace hosted a free medical screening event for ECHO clients. The screening was sponsored by Sathya Sai Baba Service Organization, a multi-faith, non-denominational community service group. Volunteers for the day-long “camp” included ten medical professionals and 44 support staff from Sathya Sai, 12 ECHO volunteers, and six folks from Grace who acted as key liaison contacts. A total of 39 ECHO clients from the immediate Grace neighborhood were offered general medical evaluations, dental and eye exams, and stress assessment services, as well as lunch and counseling on follow-up medical services available through Fairfax County and other community organizations. Sathya Sai, ECHO, and our neighbors who were served all expressed their appreciation and gratitude for Grace’s support and cooperation that made this service to the community possible.Continue Reading »
